Yes. ECOgee offers a range of opportunities for personal expression and participation. You can paint directly onto the ECOgee vessel using suitable eco-friendly paints to maintain its biodegradable quality. This may become a meaningful family, group or community activity.

You can also decorate or personalise a detachable cover to reflect the individual, their culture, beliefs, interests or the life being celebrated. Detachable covers may be removed before burial or cremation and retained as keepsakes.

Drawing on more than 35 years of creative and artistic experience, our design team can work with you to create a unique, one-off ECOgee vessel or cover. Alternatively, you can choose from our ECOgee Premium Design collection.

Bespoke (one-off) designs may incorporate different fabrics, colours, themes and design elements to reflect the individual and create a truly personal farewell. All bespoke designs are individually priced and subject to designer availability. Please enquire to discuss your ideas.

Yes. All ECOgee decorative top covers are detachable and may be removed before burial or cremation.

Covers may be retained as keepsakes or displayed as decorative textile artwork honouring the individual and their life.

Detachable covers provide greater opportunity to personalise an ECOgee, allowing a wide range of fabrics, embellishments and decorative elements to create a particular look or theme. For example, a Vintage, Viking or other themed design may incorporate decorative elements that are not biodegradable. By removing the cover before burial or cremation, the underlying ECOgee vessel remains biodegradable.

Detachable covers may also be kept as meaningful keepsakes or displayed as decorative textile artwork honouring the individual and their life.

Yes. ECOgee offers an optional waterproof liner that is 100% plastic-free and biodegradable, allowing the vessel to maintain its biodegradable qualities.

The lightweight construction and low-profile packaging (approximately 10 cm depth) significantly reduces the size and weight of an ECOgee package for transport. This reduces freight costs and makes ECOgee a more practical and affordable option for people living in rural and remote communities.

Yes. Some people choose to plan aspects of their farewell in advance, including their preferred burial or cremation vessel. Pre-planning allows greater choice and control over future arrangements and can reduce the number of decisions and financial responsibilities left to others.
